Geek Week PDX partners with over 115 small businesses across the city, offering 450 activities throughout a week in September. I support the event’s marketing efforts, including managing Discord communities and planning newsletters.
Email Campaigns
I developed an email strategy that doubled subscriber engagement for Geek Week PDX.
I designed a long-form email series featuring key graphics—such as promotions, volunteer calls, and merchandise highlights. Each newsletter kept subscribers informed with major event updates, while the content was tailored to reflect the latest announcements.
Community Management
I developed and managed two Discord servers for Geek Week PDX.
Guild Hall Discord
A community hub for fans to engage year-round and stay updated on Geek Week PDX events and news.
Staff Discord
A dedicated platform for businesses and volunteers to communicate and coordinate efficiently.
